Kinsmen Club of Port Dover: Fun, Friendship & Community Spirit
The Kinsmen Club of Port Dover is an affiliate of the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Canada which is comprised of over 600 clubs across Canada. Our club is a volunteer organization made up of 19 men who wish to make Port Dover a better place to live. The club boasts a proud 50-year history dedicated to fostering lifelong friendships while “Serving the Community’s Greatest Need.” TM
Our club is dedicated to serve and to raise funds to be put back into our community. The majority of the funds raised by our club stay in the community of Port Dover and Norfolk County. Our national charity of choice is Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
In other words, we’re a fun-loving group of guys who believe in giving back to the community. To find out more about our projects and the organizations we support, check out our Community Service.
What are my commitments if I join Kinsmen?
The Kinsmen Club of Port Dover has a relaxed club atmosphere for fun and camaraderie, but when there’s a job to be done, we dig in and get it done. The executive committee meets every other Wednesday and all members are welcome to attend these Executive Meetings. The club meets for General Meetings on opposite Wednesday evenings with at least one dinner meeting per month when we are treated to a fantastic meal by one of our own members who just happens to be a very talented chef.
We understand that life is busy, so we’re pretty relaxed about attendance at meetings.
We’d love to see you at one of our meetings – give us a call.
National dues are paid by the club which includes one club shirt, a membership kit with name badge and a dinner pin. Meals and refreshments are at the expense of the club member.
